Out of community work with musicians and dancers of folk groups from the 14 municipalities of the Tâmega and Sousa network, Filipa Francisco cocreates with this group A Festa, an artistic project that fosters, values and promotes local artistic manifestations and their dialogues with contemporary dance. The work stems from the investigation of folk dances and their stories through a process of improvisation and composition. The shared experience of the creative process provides a set of relevant knowledge and practices for greater understanding of the place and to be a more conscious and more participative member of the global community.
This is a regional involvement project with three presentations over the final month, when the landscape is transformed and we reach the present urban space and contemporary architecture.
