Touring since 1996, Nu Meio mocks the relationship of an archetypical Portuguese couple who take refuge in fado and slander. The Man — Firmino — marks a territory in the middle of the stage from which the two characters cannot leave. The Woman — Mila — obsessively tries to climb, grasp and suffocate this "mountain man." The dialogue between the characters is like a soap opera, full of common places, explaining encounters and disagreements with shrill laughter and church songs transformed into operetta.
